Hats a Go-Go Or Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge

This week, Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge is all about those items which keep the heat from escaping from our heads or the sun from burning it. See HATS A GO-GO HERE AT CEE’S SITE.

My fun with hats is outlined below…

The hat must fit the expression.

The hat must fit the expression.

100_3826 or the occasion.

Christmas hatr 5 For instance this hat should never be warn before Dec. 12th or after Dec. 25th.

Ireland 007 Ths hat, however, is entirely appropriate for airport wear any time of the year. IF YOU’RE A TELETUBBY!

100_3026 It is also important when choosing a hat to consider the proper accesories.

baby …And when one should not accessorise at all. This “granny belt” was one of my poor choices.

Christmas hats 1The right hat can communicate for us those things we wish others to know but could never say.

wpid-20150713_122114.jpgFor instance, this hat says, “I really hate my job.”

wpid-20150713_134439.jpg This one says, “I think we should have chosen a different place to eat.”

100_4901This hat says, “I may be fat but I am cool.”

Birthday!And this hat says… Yeah I got nothin. 🙂

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Murals

We are in the second week of Cee’s “MANMADE CHALLENGE” and this week she has asked us to show her murals.

C.cada is the artist’s ministry of our church. A few months ago I asked our artists a question, “What is your God project?”

Several of our artists took up the challenge and donated their time and talents to refurbish the playroom in our local pediatrics ward.

Here are the results

This sign found in “Museum square” in Amsterdam was one of several signs built by Metaalplan for the  city’s Amsterdam China Week festivities. The other signs came down after the celebration but the city opted to keep this sign up on the Square and it has become a photographic hotspot.

This fountain in the Back bay of Boston is one of several recently built as part of Boston’s new “Greenway”. Excuse the finger please!

This building is in my hometown of Winchendon MA and was built by Ephraim Murdock & Co in the early 1900’s as the high school for our town. It is where both of my parents and most of my aunts and uncles graduated from. Today it is the Murdock Senior Center and is affectionately called “Old Murdock”.

The sky behind it of course was made by Jesus, the son of man and so I guess it also qualifies as manmade 😉

Share Your World 2015 Week #22

share-your-world2

This week I feel the need to start this post with Cee’s fifth question which is always…

What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am so grateful to serve a God who walks with His church through the deepest valleys (we have had some deep one’s this week read about it  HERE ). No matter what we go through we always find Him not just waiting at the other side but walking with us through the fiery trial. God is so good and so faithful and He is an “ever-present help IN  trouble.” Psalm 46:1

This week coming I am looking forward to getting back on track with my blogging and writing schedule.  During the last month or so I have been rather spotty because of the pace of life and ministry. But I feel like I am getting on top of that and launching into a new phase of writing productivity!

Here I am, beginning that new phase by sharing my world and inviting you to share your world with others by clicking the icon above and flying over to Cee’s blog to read about other parts of the world that intersect there.

Here are the questions:

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I….

Never In my life have I been to Africa or Australia or New Zealand or Alaska or Asia or…. well that should keep me going for however long I am to remain on this spinning orb of life.

Complete this sentence:  My neighbour wants me to help her…..

My neighbor wants me to help her… Actually I do not think my neighbors want me to help them do anything. I live in the midst of a pretty huge DIY neighborhood and I seem to be the only one who cannot do most things himself.

Complete this sentence:  When I was little I wanted…

When I was little I wanted to be a superhero. I would spend hours pretending I was Superman, Green Lantern or the Flash. I have learned though that being heroic is not about the grand sweeping gestures. It is about  the commitment to walk a path of little faithfulnesses everyday. Without that commitment, no superpower no matter how awesome will make you a hero.

Complete this sentence:  Will you come here to…

Will you come here on a regular basis? If so I commit to doing everything in my power to introduce you to a world of encouragement, hope and light!

Please click the Share Your World icon at the top of the post and it will take you to Cee’s blog so you see other people’s shares.

Cee’s Fun Foto CHALLENGE: PINK!!!!

cees-fun-foto

I have to admit that at first I was a bit intimidated by the notion of “pink” pictures. I was pretty sure I wouldn’t find much in my archive. But then I started looking and I found a plethora of pink. You can see other pinks by clicking the smiley face above. My gallery of fifty shades of pink (or seven) is below.
