Summon your might, O God.[d]
Display your power, O God, as you have in the past.
29 The kings of the earth are bringing tribute
    to your Temple in Jerusalem.
30 Rebuke these enemy nations—
these wild animals lurking in the reeds,
this herd of bulls among the weaker calves.
Make them bring bars of silver in humble tribute.
Scatter the nations that delight in war. Psalm 68:28-30

When in time do you think this passage is speaking of?

WPC: Serenity

This week the Daily Post has challenged its photographers to depict SERENITY.

Here is my first choice:

Boredom is the feeling that everything is a waste of time; serenity, that nothing is. Thomas Szasz
And because the world needs all the serenity it can get here are some other sources of serenity.

Morning Direction from Scripture 11-24-17

Concord 1

Summon your might, O God.[d]
Display your power, O God, as you have in the past.
29 The kings of the earth are bringing tribute
    to your Temple in Jerusalem.
30 Rebuke these enemy nations—
these wild animals lurking in the reeds,
this herd of bulls among the weaker calves.
Make them bring bars of silver in humble tribute.
Scatter the nations that delight in war. Psalm 68:28-30

In verse 29 we learn that God’s kingdom is run through the temple. Does the idea of Theocracy frighten you? Why or why not?

WPC: Transformation

This week THE DAILY POST HAS ASKED US TO DISPLAY TRANSFORMATIONS through our photos.

The sun transforms the Atlantic sky.

Here are some other transformations:

Share Your World Nov. 20, 2017

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday not just because of the food but because of the spirit of thanks it conjures up. In this world of complaints and divisions I think we can always use a little more gratefulness.

I am thankful for the opportunity Cee has given everyone in the blogosphere to SHARE THEIR WORLDS.

See…it wasn’t so hard at all to find something to be thankful for! Here are Cee’s sharing questions and my answers. When you’ve finished pop on over to Cee’s place using the underlined link above and see how others have shared their worlds.

If you were having difficulty on an important test and could safely cheat by looking at someone else’s paper, would you do so?

No I would not. Cheaters never win in the end. Besides, tests (even important tests) never show who we really are. They are only place markers for where we are. Cheating only keeps us from knowing our current place in the world. If we don’t first acknowledge our place we can never successfully move from it.

What things in nature do you find most beautiful?

I love the sky and trees against it.

Complete this sentence: When I travel I love to….

Rest, meditate and learn.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

this thought came to mind in prayer this week and it created a shift in my heart.

Victory in the spirit world is never about supremacy. It is about intimacy. It is never about coming in first or reaching the top. In fact in the spirit realm victory often requires failure or willingly taking the lower position. Victory comes in realizing that the power position does not matter. Connection with the Spirit matters.

What is the issue so many people in our world have with the idea of tribute?
