Mid Afternoon Meditation 5-31-18

100_0505

You know how I am scorned, disgraced and shamed;
    all my enemies are before you.
20 Scorn has broken my heart
    and has left me helpless;
I looked for sympathy, but there was none,
    for comforters, but I found none.
21 They put gall in my food
    and gave me vinegar for my thirst. Psalm 69:19-21

How does God view your enemies?

Morning Direction From Scripture 5-30-18

Concord 1

You know how I am scorned, disgraced and shamed;
    all my enemies are before you.
20 Scorn has broken my heart
    and has left me helpless;
I looked for sympathy, but there was none,
    for comforters, but I found none.
21 They put gall in my food
    and gave me vinegar for my thirst. Psalm 69:19-21

Tell me how you overcome scorn, disgrace and shame.

Share Your World May 28, 2018

I am getting an early jump this week on Sharing My World.

You can find other world sharers by clicking the underlined link above.

Here are the week’s questions and my answers!

If you were to pack a basket for picnic lunch, what would be in your basket?

Oh definitely fried chicken and some buttermilk buiscuits. I would have some fruit, some cake and lemonade.

On a vacation what you would require in any place that you sleep?

A bed, wifi access, breakfast, and a good tub.

If you were to buy a new house/apartment what is the top three items on your wish list?

Ready to move in. Good heat/insulation, nice grounds.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

“If you read (the Bible) quickly it will benefit you little. You will be like a bee that merely skims the surface of the flower. Instead… you must become as the bee who penetrates into the depths of the flower. You must plunge within to remove its deepest nectar.” Madame Guyon

Here I go SHARING MY WORLD again.

Here are the weekly Share Your World questions and my thoughts on them. To see how others answered the same questions click the underlined link.

What household chore do you absolutely enjoy doing? (can be indoor or outdoor)

I really like putting away clean clothes.

Create a sentence with the words “neon green” and train”.

The neon green troll picked up the train and threw it into the ocean. But the Undine came and rescued all the passengers.

(Sorry I know that was two sentences but I couldn’t let all those poor commuters perish because I lacked the word space to save them.)

Other than your cell phone what can you always be found with?

My glasses. I have seven or eight pairs that I keep strategically placed throughout my life space so even if I forget my main pair I can still see. I may look weird but  at least I am not blind.

Morning Direction From Scripture 5-24-18

Concord 1

Do not let the floodwaters engulf me
    or the depths swallow me up
    or the pit close its mouth over me.

16 Answer me, Lord, out of the goodness of your love;
    in your great mercy turn to me.
17 Do not hide your face from your servant;
    answer me quickly, for I am in trouble.
18 Come near and rescue me;
    deliver me because of my foes. Psalm 69:15-18

Define the word “foe” in your own words.
