Here is the week’s photo prompt:

No Room

by JE Lillie

There are the wise and then there are those who know the future. I know the future. I wish I was wise. Delusion at least comes with a dose of hope.

The future told me there was going to be trouble. I didn’t say anything because the future doesn’t flutter. It sits and waits.

As our boat entered the canal, the captain of the other boat screamed, “Stop you fool! There’s no room!”

Metal grated on metal. Our boat sank.  Three died that day because of the door I had barred when the future told me I should.

Share Your World June 18, 2018

This is the first time I have had more than 10 minutes to sit down and write this week. I am so grateful for a day of quiet. Still, it has been a very rewarding week and I have gotten a lot accomplished:

We had a great staff meeting and outing on Tuesday.

Wednesday Pastor Dan and I had the opportunity to teach the first part of the Book of Jude to a wonderful group of people at the church

Yesterday our admin team had fun making a video for the announcements on Sunday ( I hope to post them here sometime early next week). My daughter’s little kitty had to go into the kitty hospital yesterday for life-saving surgery. He had an obstruction. The poor thing was so miserable and we got him to the hospital just in time.

Tomorrow several of us will attend an full day seminar on the Spirit Empowered Church.

Today though is writing day! Right now it is time for SHARING MY WORLD USING CEE’S SHARING QUESTIONS.

Here are Cee’s questions and my answers. When you are done here skip on over to Cee’s site using the underlined link to see how everyone else shared.

You can have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what is it? Sushi? Scotch Tape?

Not even a question here! BOOKS

Teleportation or flying?

Teleporting of course! It’s even biblical.

As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?” [37]c 38And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. 39When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing.40Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and traveled about, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea. Acts 8:40

 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words. I Thess. 4:15-18

Would you rather live where it only snows or the temperature never falls below 100 degrees?

Yikes what terrible choices! I would take a very large house with central air and an indoor pool and then I would live where it never falls below 100.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

It was so fun doing Hey Jude with the administrative staff of our church on Sunday.

Mid Afternoon Meditation 6-17-18

I will praise God’s name in song
    and glorify him with thanksgiving.
31 This will please the Lord more than an ox,
    more than a bull with its horns and hooves.
32 The poor will see and be glad—
    you who seek God, may your hearts live!
33 The Lord hears the needy
    and does not despise his captive people. Psalm 69:30-33

What song are you singing to God today?

Morning Direction From Scripture 6-17-18

May the table set before them become a snare;
    may it become retribution and[b] a trap.
23 May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see,
    and their backs be bent forever.
24 Pour out your wrath on them;
    let your fierce anger overtake them.
25 May their place be deserted;
    let there be no one to dwell in their tents.
26 For they persecute those you wound
    and talk about the pain of those you hurt.
27 Charge them with crime upon crime;
    do not let them share in your salvation.
28 May they be blotted out of the book of life
    and not be listed with the righteous.

29 But as for me, afflicted and in pain—
    may your salvation, God, protect me. Psalm 69:22-29

List the things God protects you from.
