Since we just finished a meditation on 1 Corinthians 13 I thought it appropos’ to repost this series of articles I had written several years ago about the love chapter.

Evening Meditation 5-21-16
Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
4 Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction. Psm. 1:1-6
What are the important differences between the righteous and the wicked outlined in this Psalm?

Ferocious Pt. 1
In our meditations here at Lillie-Put we have just worked through I Corinthians 13:4-8. As we were working through the daily thoughts it came to me that perhaps it was time to revisit a study I did on this topic several years ago.
Here is part one of the study called FEROCIOUS.
P.S. don’t mind the notes about the Netherlands. This was last posted back when I was on a trip to that beautiful country. This year I am going nowhere. I am paying my taxes instead. 😦

Evening Meditation 5-18-16
This post is a continuation of our meditations on 1 Corinthians 13. Our evening question is directly connected to the question from our MID AFTERNOON MEDITATION TODAY.
If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. 1 Cor. 13:1-8
What is it like to think that love is all these attributes working together all the time?
