Midnight Meditation 7-27-20

Psalm 131

My heart is not proud, Lord,
    my eyes are not haughty;
I do not concern myself with great matters
    or things too wonderful for me.
But I have calmed and quieted myself,
    I am like a weaned child with its mother;
    like a weaned child I am content.

Israel, put your hope in the Lord
    both now and forevermore.

How do hope and calmness go hand in hand?

      • I agree–peace and hope are clasped hands or peanut butter and jam…whatever 🙂 I’m very glad to hear you’re experiencing a piece of hope right now, Brother–I am too, except when I accidentally see the news of yet another violent protest in Seattle especially–too close to home, very upsetting.
