Well this year I am giving myself a challenge! One photo everyday taken from my home. If you want to join just take a photo in or around your home and write your own blog and post the link in the comments section below!
Once you spoke in a vision, to your faithful people you said: “I have bestowed strength on a warrior; I have raised up a young man from among the people. 20 I have found David my servant; with my sacred oil I have anointed him. 21 My hand will sustain him; surely my arm will strengthen him. 22 The enemy will not get the better of him; the wicked will not oppress him. 23 I will crush his foes before him and strike down his adversaries. 24 My faithful love will be with him, and through my name his horn[f] will be exalted. Psalm 89:19-24
Give me some examples of God strengthening people.
This word came to me in prayer this morning. I felt led to share it with you.
God is the holder of our true identities. We can never really know who we are or who we were made to be until we come to Him. Until then we put on half true faces to match the tenor of the world around us. Even when we do come to Him, though, we find that our false selves still cling to us. It is only in the relating to God that those false selves begin to strip away and we come to ourselves. It is for this reason the world, the flesh and the devil work so hard to keep Christians from doing the very things which most deeply connect them to God. You see, in the connecting we become truly ourselves and all the interior spaces we once gave to our false selves is taken up by truth, and as you know the truth will set you free!

I spend the last few weeks of every year praying for a future word from God for the next year.
A few years ago the word was “Prepare for change.”. By April our church had lost its Lead Pastor, Children’s Pastor and Youth Pastor. Before the year was out we had welcomed in new people to all three positions.
Last year my word was directly from Scripture, Psalm 144:1 to be exact,
Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle;
The year turned out to be one of the most difficult our church has faced.
This year the words came about two weeks before Christmas, “Shift your focus to wonder.”.
So much has changed, there has been so much battle these last few years and yet I know there has been purpose in all of it. God has been doing a…
You may have heard that I am quite the baseball fan…
As I was shoveling the driveway this morning, contemplating the new month of January 2020, this thought – “Free Agency Has Killed the Game” – pummeled my thoughts. Let me explain…
Now, Free Agency started effectively on Nov. 4, 1976 in Major League Baseball, I was just over 3 years old. There was absolutely nothing about getting rid of the reserve clause (keeping players to a team, that could go elsewhere and play, even perhaps for more money) that did anything for me or against me on that day, or even now on this day. The simplest understanding, for the average person, it means nothing to the outcome of our lives.
Free Agency, gave the player the right to go wherever they felt like they could go – to get more playing time and more money. A decision that…
