But you, Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
4 I call out to the Lord,
and he answers me from his holy mountain. Psalm 3:3, 4

First of all, I love your sunset Pastor J! Secondly, I see my shield as all my prayers and verses surrounding me as powerful force field of protection!
Oh that is good, particularly when we understand that the battlefield is the mind.
The Lord (and His faithfulness) is my shield. When the devil sends his arrows at me, I just need to run to the Lord and spend time with him in prayer and reading/speaking his Word. He is always faithful to protect me. I like the picture in Psalm 91:4:
“He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”
I love that picture too!
