I conceived this piece out of Tuesday’s Daily Prompt, “Might as well jump”. http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/06/18/daily-prompt-jump/
The question asked us was,” What’s the biggest risk you’d like to take — but haven’t been able to? What would have to happen to make you comfortable taking it?”
Escape Into Air
by JE Lillie
A leap of faith lies straight before me
An unfinished bridge, an escape into air.
Fear makes blind hopes from eternity.
A leap of faith lies straight before me.
Faith arise! At the edge rescue me!
Reveal the way frail flesh has made unaware.
A leap of faith lies straight before me
An unfinished bridge, an escape into air.
BRAVO ON DOING A TRIOLET, PASTOR J–BRAVO, BRAVO!!!
Thank you Sis! It was fun and relaxing!
Nice pun in the title, I thought.Clicking on the exnaipatlon link taught me something I didn’t know, though in truth I know very little about poetry of any kind. What an interesting form lovely balance and almost-symmetry. Might be tempted to play around with it myself, though it’s doubtful I’ll come up with anything as good as Reed’s elegance.
You can always give it a go. Who knows what will come about?
Well boy did I read that title too fast…”Escape Into Air: A TOILET”…I thought dear Lord he must be having a bad week… A Troilet…..AHHHH that’s better! LOL!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Excellent, Pastor J! Loved this and God bless you!
Thanks Deb!
