We have been given a very eclectic  mix of questions this week by Share Your World’s Scion, Cee. To see how everyone answered Cee’s questions click the link HERE.

Here is the list of questions and my answers:

Complete this sentence: This sandwich could really use some …

Spaghetti sauce. Everything is better with spaghetti sauce. those who have been reading my blog for a while will understand this. Those new to Lillie-Put will probably say “Gross!”

The best mix with spaghetti sauce in a sandwich is peanut butter.

What is your least favorite candy?

I am not a big fan of Good-N-Plenty unless they are mixed with buttered movie popcorn.

What sign are you? Do you believe in astrology?

I do believe in astrology. In so far as to a certain degree it works. I am a Sagittarius. I believe that most mystic and religious beliefs have their foundation in spiritual reality…THAT SAID….as a Christian I am forbidden to practice astrology because like most spiritual practices, outside the sphere of Christ’s influence, it holds great dangers for the practitioner.

Disney quote

If you were given $22 million tax free dollars (any currency), what is the first thing you would do? (This is just a dream question, remember anything can happen in SYW.)

Tithe.

In what do you find the simplest of joys?

I love to sit and watch the world go by especially if there are birds in it.

What would be your ideal birthday present, and why?

A week of sitting and watching the world go by and a gift certificate for a massage… because I seem to have permanent tech neck.

What’s that you ask? Don’t I know it’s May? Of course I know it’s May! This is just the first chance I have had to answer Cee’s last questions from the month of April. If you want to see who was more timely in answering her questions you can do that by clicking HERE.

Before you go there though please indulge me and have a look at my answers to her questions.

Do you use paper money? If so is your money organized sequentially according to denomination?

I do still sometimes use paper money. If I do it is stuffed randomly and usually folded messily among the debit card receipts in my wallet.

You are comfortable doing nothing? For long stretches of time?

I seldom get to do nothing, though I suppose that is what prayer looks like from the outside. So while most everyone else would say I do spend long stretches of time doing nothing I would probably say I seldom get to just do nothing. I don’t think I would like “nothing”.

What is your greatest strength?

I think one of my greatest strengths is my patience.

List things or events that changed your life?

Wow! That is a huge list. It feels like my life has been one change after another as I look back to get me where I am. To pick out one life- changing event is like playing a game of Jenga. Each change has its place in making me who I am remove just one and the whole tower comes down.

But here are four life events that seem to have dramatically changed the direction of my life.

  1. Becoming a Christian
  2. Getting married
  3. Having Children
  4. Getting divorced

Complete this sentence: Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it’s…Superman of course!

What genre of music do you like? Here is a mix that will probably give you a good idea

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

This quote has kept me all week.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Yes. It is April 7th. But Cee has assured me it is never too late to SHARE MY WORLD.

So here I am sharing my world through questions Cee posted 5 days ago. Today, shoot on over to Cee’s place to see how the rest of the world shared.

Here are the questions and my answers

What was or is your favorite cartoon?

I was a cartoon junky as a kid. Saturday mornings, if left up to me were cartoons straight from 6 A.M. to 12 noon. Here are a few I used to watch.

https://youtu.be/4I9blXQEHyw?t=4

Which cooking utensil (other than the usual pots and pans etc) would you miss the most?

I would miss my coffee maker.

Would you dare to sleep in haunted house overnight?

Sure. I am sure praying in tongues would scare the ghosts.

I got my copy of Hallowed: New and Selected Poems by Patricia Fargnoli  and started reading. I really loved the poem “Dream Sequence”. Here is Patricia reading her poem, “Wherever You Are Going”.

It has been a wonderful and long week. God has been good and I am tired, but oh so glad to be sharing my world again. SHARE YOUR WORLD   is a weekly challenge hosted by Cee of Cee’s Photography. By answering her weekly questions a whole bunch of us bloggers share our worlds.

When you have finished reading my responses to Cee’s questions click the underlined link above and see how others have shared their worlds.

What is your earliest memory?

My earliest memory is a very vivid recurring nightmare I had  when I was about three or four. We were living in a grey Victorian home that had been converted into a duplex. The house was built into a very steep hillside and I can remember that the house had terraces that were covered with tiger lilies.

Anyway many nights my parents would put me to bed and I would “dream” that a ghost with a big nose wearing a Hawaiian shirt would come through the wall and sit upon me crushing the air out of my lungs.

To this day the house still creeps me out when I drive by it.

Which way does the toilet paper roll go? Over or under?

Sideways.

What makes you feel grounded?

Praying to Jesus.

It’s that wonderful time of week again where I SHARE THE WORLD with other bloggers and cyberspace travelers. The four sharing questions are below and when you have read my answers pop opn over to the Share Your World Main Site, hosted by Cee Neuner,  and check out how everyone else shared their worlds.

Questions of the week:

If a distant uncle dies and you were always his favorite and leaves you $50,000 (any currency) in his will, what would you do?

I would use some of it towards my kids tuition bills for school and then do some projects around the house. I couldn’t get all of any of it paid, but I could get a little bit of a lot done.

What sound or sounds do you love?

Right now I am really loving the sound stylings of Ben Platt

What’s your middle name?  Why?

My middle name is Elon which means “Oak tree”. It has been a middle name for many Lillie’s back at least 8 generations.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

What did you or did not like about the first place you lived without your parents?

The first place I lived apart from my parents was a tiny little apartment in Bible college. It was the first apartment my wife and I lived in. The living room had an orange rug with sky blue walls. The bedroom rug was brown and the walls were pink. The kitchenette only had a two burner stove and no oven. The refrigerator was one of those small college refriges with a 1’x1′ box freezer you could fit individual ice cream bars in.  You could shower and go to the bathroom at the same time because the bathroom was so small and we didn’t control the heat. I loved it.

What is your most favorite smell/scent?

I love lavender and cilantro.

Would you prefer snowy winters, or not, and why?

Well today we are slated for another 12- 18 inches of the white stuff. I love snow for about the first two weeks of the winter and then I am ready for spring. By March snow just makes me a little nuts.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

I am stuck once again in the book of Hebrews. I am loving chapter 4-9. Here are some of my favorite verses

Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. 19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. 20 Jesus has already gone in there for us.  Hebrews 6:18-20
