This week Cee has challenged us all to bring buildings and trees together. The man-made and the God-made in one place. Check out the mix of man-made and natural at CEE’S PLACE

This week Cee has challenged us to show her anything that flies in Black & White.
You can see how others took up this challenge by clicking the underlined link.
I am not overly good at capturing things in motion so I had to be a little creative with this one. These are all things that could fly if they were real.

This is the Zaandam version of the Liva birds… I think.

This is a phoenix in St. Bavo’s, Haarlem

O.K. So I really do believe in angels but honestly I think they are much bigger and most times a little scarier than this.
This week Nancy has asked us to show us a photo with a sift background.
You can find lots of them by clicking on the link above.
My shot for the week is below:

The point here is to focus on the fruit. The world is full of green but it is the fruit which brings life.
So this week we have been asked to depict the word ANT by Jennifer at O.W.P.C.
You can see how others portrayed the concept by clicking the underlined link above.
I came at it from two directions:
First is our common perspective.
Here I am looking at all the little ants below….

And here is the world from an ants perspective.

This week Cee has asked us to have fun with the colors ORANGE & GREEN.
Click on the underlined link above to see what other orange and green things people displayed.
Here are my Orangy-green things:

This week Cee has challenged us to bring out THE PATTERNS in life. My three patterned black & white photos are below. But you can find a whole lot more by going to Cee’s site. Just click the underlined link above.
Art is the imposing of a pattern on experience, and our aesthetic enjoyment is recognition of the pattern.
This week Jennifer from O.W.P.C. has invited us to pick our own type of weather to show in our One Word Photo. I have chosen to show “Mixed”. I love how the storm coming across the water seems to be chasing the sun away.
Check out other weather photos by clicking the link above.
There aren’t many leaves left on the trees but a few resilient crab apples cling to their branches. The cardinals love these.

It’s Fun Foto time again. This week it is all about things painted. My mind immediately went to C.cada when I saw this challenge and all the painting we do as an artist’s collaborative.
Our mission statement for C.cada is…
C.cada (Cornerstone Christian artist’s day apart) was begun in an effort to give artists from every genre an opportunity to come together to discover, develop, and deploy their talents in ways that will better the church and the community.
To that end writers write, singers sing, musicians play and painters paint.
Wendy Brouillet and her award winning painting of Cornerstone Church.
Ken Knowlton paints a mural at our local hospital
Melanie Painting the End of Time
Jill Poland, Sandy Freeman and Debby Maciorowski splatter painting for Jesus.
