It must be admitted that I march to the beat of a different drummer. I am usually behind the times or ahead of time but seldom am I right on time. It can be a little disconcerting for those who travel with me. But I ask you to bear with me as I work to make up time here at COLOR YOUR WORLD. It’s not the only place I am playing catch up, but I have to admit that once I find a little time catching up comes rather quickly with this challenge. I like that.
Today I am working on the color GREEN-YELLOW. You can click either of the capitalized link to go to Jennifer’s post and see how her other contributors played with the shade.
Here is the color we are going for:

Here is the closest I think I can come.

Have a blessed day!

Cee has asked us to share with her some of our SMOOTH PICTURES. You can click the capitalized link to see how Cee’s contributors have smoothed thing over. Here are my thoughts on the subject.

Smooth as glass

Smooth as polished granite.

Smooth as water off a duck’s back.

Smooth as silk.
So today IT’S NOT EASY BEING GREEN. But that is the color Jennifer has picked for us. Actually she picked it several days ago but once again I have fallen behind. So green it is. Click the capitalized link to see how many other matches there are to this simple (or not) shade.

Hello Dear Readers. This week the Daily Post has asked us to show life imitating art. Our challenge is to find a piece of art and show a reflection of it in real life.
CLICK HERE TO SEE HOW OTHERS INTERPRETED THIS THEME.
I have a few photos for you this week:

This is my daughter Melanie imitating El Greco’s, The Repentant Magdalen.

This is me imitating Rocky’s run up the steps of the Philadelphia art museum. To be fair my imitation was harder to pull off.
I did better at imitating him before the run up the stairs.

Honestly, I don’t know how anyone tells us apart when I am not moving.
I thought for this one I should come up with something Valentino but this is what kept coming to mind.

Visit Cee’s place to find other oddball photos HERE.
This week Ailsa has asked us to MAKE HER HEART FLUTTER WITH OUR PHOTOS.
So here are some flutterings from around the world.

Snow flutters at last in WInchendon MA. We have had precious little snow this season and we desperately need the moisture.

Flutter dancers with City On A Hill Productions, Ashby MA

The Flag flutters on the Boston Harbor Water Taxi

The fluttering of pigeon wings in Dam Square.

I didn’t have time for my twenty minute walk today but I got my exercise anyway, loading the car

I also had a little time to go looking for my daughter’s lost cat.
Here kitty kitty!
Here kitty kitty!
I didn’t find him, but my daughter did, thank goodness. It is getting cold out there!
Today Jennifer is asking us to leave behind the black &white and to walk in shades of GRAY. Click the link to see her blog and her contributors’ interpretation of the color gray.
