Do you prefer to receive gifts or give them?

the best gift. Ice cream with the kiddos

I am not much of a gift person really. I love to sit with  people over a good meal and then perhaps a movie. When I receive gifts or give them I like them to be gifts that can be used up. I am a great lover of the gift card.

If you could be given ANY gift what would it be?

A sweet memory to mark eternity.

If you had a shelf for your three most special possessions (not including photos, people or animals), what would you put on it?

The Bible, My favorite music book and a pen and journal set.

Would you spend the weekend in an abandoned house in the forest?

Sure as long as I had some help to start the fires and catch the food ( I am assuming that the house does not come stocked). It would need to be a step up from this place though.

Share Your World 2013 Week 42

share-your-world2

This seems to be the week of the reblog. I have found so many great thoughts encased in the blogs I have been reading i just had to share them with you. Most recently I shared a reblog from “Bread For the Bride.” You have to check this one out. It is so good!      http://breadforthebride.wordpress.com/2013/11/25/reblog-and-the-bride-wore-scars/

And after you have done that check out Cee’s subscribers and all the great answers they gave to this weeks “Share” questions at     http://ceenphotography.com/2013/11/25/share-your-world-2013-week-42/

Here are my answers to Cee’s awesome questions.

If you were the original designer of one existing corporate logo, which one would you select?

I would choose the Veggie Tales logo. I love these guys. Have you heard them?

If you could have your own TV channel, what would it be about?

I would probably choose a preaching and prophecy channel.  The truth about the future laid out in the Bible is far stranger than fiction.

If you were on an small island, who would you want to be with? And where is it?  How big is it?

My small island: would need to be somewhere where there are pleasant rains and no typhoons; Warm water but no sharks; Plenty to eat and no poisonous snakes. I am assuming I am not stuck on the island and could come and go at my pleasure. So I would like to be alone on the island for a prayer get-away. I guess that is not really alone but it would be away from other human contact.

At what age did you become an adult?

I was just talking about this with friends at my birthday party the other day. I said good bye to my childhood at age 35. I am not sure why I felt that way at 35 but that was the year I realized I was no more a kid.

Share Your World 2013 Week 41

share-your-world2

Oh boy! This week’s Share Your World quiz has some really challenging questions. I had to put on my extra heavy duty thinking cap for this one. Christmas hats 1 that’s not me wearing the hat but you get the idea!

Take a gander at how Cee and her other subscribers answered these question by going to     http://ceenphotography.com/2013/11/18/share-your-world-2013-week-41/

Now on to the questions!

If you could have three wishes granted, what would they be?

If I could have three wishes granted they would probably all be tied to the same desire:

1. That I would be graced with the ability to convince everyone I meet with the truth that Jesus Christ is God and that the only way to Heaven is through His forgiveness of sin.

2. That everyone in my sphere of influence would come to KNOW Jesus as personal Lord and Savior of their lives to the end that they would all be granted eternal life.

3. That I would have unlimited resources to equip others to influence their bits of the world for Jesus Christ.

If you were having difficulty on an important test and could safely cheat by looking at someone else’s paper, would you do so?

No I wouldn’t cheat. Tests have always been more of a game for me. While the rest of the world uses them as a bench mark to place people in some sort of hierarchy I have viewed them only as a  gauge of what I still have the opportunity to learn.

If you were invisible, where would you go?

I would probably stay home. Invisibility would make people more prone to say things they wouldn’t say when  I am around. I am not sure I really want to know what other people are thinking of me however valuable that might be.

Is life what you expected as a child?

Absolutely not! Life is for the most part far better than I ever dreamed as a child. While I have known some really deep pain, God has been with me every step of the way and much more magic lies ahead than has gone behind!

Share Your World 2013- Week 40

Great day in the mornin! These are some great question from Cee this week. I hope you will avail yourself of her other contributors at   http://ceenphotography.com/2013/11/11/share-your-world-2013-week-40/

Now on to the weekly queries:

Do you plan out things usually or do you do them more spontaneous (for example if you are visiting a big city you don’t know)?

I hardly ever do anything unplanned unless it’s to spontaneously skip something I had planned to do a week ago. It never use to be that way. Five years ago I didn’t even know what a planner was and then ministry started getting really busy and suddenly I started missing things I was supposed to be doing.  My scheduler keeps me and the congregants I work with sane.

Do you play video/computer game? Which one(s) or most recent?

The most recent video game I played was pong in 1982.

In a car would you rather drive or ride?

I would rather ride! At least I think I would rather ride. It has been so long since I sat in the passenger’s seat I am not really sure anymore.

Since adolescence, in what three-year period do you feel you experienced the most personal growth and change?

These last three years have been rife with change. Nothing is the same as it was three years ago. Growth occurred by default but isn’t that usually how growth works?

Share Your World 2013 Week 38

share-your-world2Here are some good questions from Cee to help us get to know each other. Be warned this week’s questions may require some deep thinking! Check out Cee’s other supporters at http://www.ceenphotography.com

What were you most likely doing on this day when you were 12 years old?

Since this was in my B.C. days (Before Christ) I was most likely channeling the spirit of some dead person in my neighborhood ( today is Halloween after all). I was kind of a creepy little kid.

If you could write about, paint a picture or photograph any scenery you’ve seen before, what scene would your use?

What a hard question. I have so many scenes running through my head right now. I would probably pick the Grand Canyon from the North Rim.

What is one of your favorite quotes?

Oh boy another humdinger of a question! I love quotes so to narrow this down is nigh unto impossible for me. Let’s see I guess for now I will go with …Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. Security does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than exposure. Helen Keller

What is your favorite type of dog?  (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal or character in a movie)

I love my little Maltese dogs! Thanks Cee, for this one easy question!

Share Your World With Cee Cee 2013 Week 37

share-your-world2

Today I am posting for a second time in order to get my weekly Cee post in. Things are slowing back to normal a bit but only for a few days ( So I guess that means normal is now the busier pace I have been living for months). This weekend we have our church trunk-or treat outreach and then three days of Pastor’s Retreat in Hyannis where I will probably be away from my computer almost entirely. I will endeavor to get ahead on my posting so that you all can keep reading. You really need to check out Cee’s  friends and their take on these questions at   http://ceenphotography.com/2013/10/21/share-your-world-2013-week-37/  While you are there why don’t you check out Cee’s new website and photography as well!

Here are today’s questions and answers:

What is your favorite outdoor activity?

In the spring and summer and early autumn I love to take walks and to pray outdoors. There is something very connective about seeking the Lord out amongst His creation. In the late fall and winter I have no favorite outdoor activities however. I try to stay in as much as possible because the weather during this time of year is truly frigismalwegristusting that is weather that is frigid, dismal, wet, gross and disgusting!

Do you prefer your food separated or mixed together?

I eat a LOT of casseroles. If you can put it in a crock pot or mix it with noodles I am there!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

In spite of the fact that our winters are frigismalwegristusting I would still choose to live in the North East of the United States. Three out of four seasons ain’t bad!

What household chore do you absolutely hate doing?

I am not a big fan of shovelling the snow in the frigismalwegristusting weather.
