I am writing a post a day to encourage us out of fear in these difficult days.

We are facing the creation of a new world. All of us know it somewhere deep inside of us. This time of worldwide plague and quarantine has marked us all in different ways, but make no mistake it has marked us. The old normal is not going to return. We are faced with having to create a new normal. This should not scare us. God is in the business of ushering in new when the old falls apart. He did not do this to us. He is with us through it and as we trust Him He will bring us into a new time of strength and blessing. We have a longer road ahead of us. Let’s not freeze in fear in the middle of this unknown path. Let’s walk it together in hope of better days.

“Do one thing every day that scares you.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt

Have you seen the news?!? It looks really bad out there! Many of my friends have had to stop watching the news simply because it gets them too depressed. Someone is trying to instill fear in us and I am, not sure who it is Republicans…Democrats… the Russians….The Chinese….. The Devil.
Here’s the thing. Fear is not more powerful than love. It is not more powerful than faith. And it is not more powerful than hope. These three things can conquer all the fear that the mysterious whoever musters. I am not giving you a Scripture today. Instead I leave you with a song to meditate on. It’s an oldy but a goody.
In this season of the world’s groaning, I think it is absolutely essential to remind ourselves often about the mindset God desires to keep in the midst of all of it.

My sister and I just got back from the grocery store. We have moved to shopping once every two weeks. We wear masks and sanitize everything before and after we touch it.
One of the things we have noticed is that the anxiety level of people (including us) has heightened dramatically during this new season of the world.
Into this new season I want to inject a sense of hope. So the fear not posts will be a series of sayings from the Bible and other sources directed to lift us out of fear and into hope.

When you fear God you will understand what His desires are -Brad Hackett.

Comfort zones are not about Christianity. They are about comfort.

The only way greater things can come is if we let go of lesser things- Lillie

2 reasons change happens: God is bringing us into His best or we are bringing ourselves into our worst.
This week at Special Touch Disabilities Camp our theme us “Fearless.”
In the chapel services I am preaching I am speaking about 4 things we need to add to our lives in order to be fearless and 4 things we need to get rid of to be fearless.
We need to add.
1. Righteousness
2. Truth
3. Peace
4. Faith
We need to get rid of
1. Worry
2. Stress
3. Disappointment
4. Fear of change
Which of these do you think is the most important.
