Share Your World 2014: Week 23

This post was prepared for Cee’s Share Your World Challenge at

Head on over when your done here. I am quite sure you will find some very interesting answers to her questions there!

Here are my answers:

Would your rather be stuck in a small plane with mild turbulence for 2 hours or be a passenger in a car racing the Daytona 500?

I think either would be quite fun. However I have done the small plane turbulence thing so I choose the car race as it would be a new experience.

Would you rather be alone with nobody in the vicinity for one month or never be alone not even for a minute for one month?

Oh my goodness never being alone for a month sounds like somebody’s version of Hell (Oh yeah mine).

Would you like to sleep in a human size nest in a tree or be snuggled in a burrowed spot underground?

Oooo a burrow please. It would make me feel like a Hobbit.

In a car would you rather drive or be a passenger?

I like being driven. Not that that ever happens mind you but I like to be a passenger (or at least I use to)

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful for so many things you can find a few of them here:

I am so glad I got to take my mom and my daughter, Amanda, to the Moving Wall last week. It was a somber experience but a memory worth having. And we all got Banana Splits afterwards! 🙂

For more info on The Moving Wall go to:

Just a note the home page for the wall is currently without a webmaster so you may have trouble loading that.

Friday Fictioneers: Ambience

PHOTO PROMPT Copyright - Douglas M. MacIlroy

I haven’t been able to Fictioneer for a couple  of weeks but here I am visiting the Friday blog on Monday. Thanks Rochelle for the prompt.

Reader, when you have finished basking in the Ambience why don’t you go on over and read a submission or 10 from Rochelle’s other contributors.

AMBIENCE

by Joseph Elon Lillie

I light candles for ambience. Ambience is important to me. Somehow it makes the stacks of crap less crappy.

I’m sure she’d say, “You could clean.”

I use to… before.

But now living here, clean and dirty look about the same. It’s all still piles of stuff stacked against camper walls.  It only smells different and maybe that’s the point. I can stand the smell as long as I have candles to change the lighting.

There is something romantic about stink by candlelight.

I can remember the good times and nobody wants to get close enough to break my heart.
