It strikes me that this sabbatical is about a change of perspective that will shift my life rhythm permanently.
Right now our town is facing a long night of struggle, last week the town manager released his financial projection of our town’s next five years. It was grim to say the least.

I am challenged by this news. If I was putting my faith in our finances I would surely lose hope. But my faith is not in budgets. My faith is in God and in what He can do through people.
This week our town held its annual Fall Festival.

Our church was involved with several booths. We were able to thank about 75 volunteers throughout the day and sign up 17 new volunteers at our VolunteerHub booth.

The prayer shawl tent gave away 83 shawls and prayed with many people.

The Worship Room House of Prayer had a bake sale that brought in over $1000.00 towards their building project.

The United Parish, Church of the Unity and The Chapel all had booths representing the churches in town. The YMCA, The Hub, The School Sports Boosters, Livable Winchendon, The Economic Development Committee were represented
It was a day that brought everyone together.

The day was filled with hope and ideas. There is so much we can accomplish when we put our differences aside and choose to work together.
