Happy New Year to You!

Happy New Year, everyone! I am so happy to be back on WordPress after a holiday break. I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year.
This past year was definitely crazy! I graduated high school, got engaged, started college, and God is taking me down a path of life-changing things. Growing up and being busy has never been so real! I have learned so many things, and I’m still learning things as I grow. I’m so excited for what God will do!
I encourage you to look back on the year and learn from it. How did you change? Did you change at all? Why don’t we change that? Thank God for what is behind you, but don’t look back too long- keep moving forward, eyes on God, and 2015 will be a great year!

I want my blog to encourage and inspire people to look to the Most High God for everything and see that there is nothing too big for Him! As I walk in faith believing anything is possible with my God my hope is that people will have a desire to Be Still and Listen for the whispers of my Lord and King, Yahweh!

A person wants to lose weight, so she takes a pill before every meal. It’s advertised to suppress her appetite. She doesn’t know it, but the pill has no medically proven appetite suppressant. It’s sold as a “food supplement” and it’s made of inert ingredients, mostly sucrose and natural coloring derived from beets. Still, she definitely feels less hungry after she takes it. She eats less and loses weight. (This is a true story about a supplement produced in Europe in the early 1990’s, told to me by the woman who worked on the team which invented it. They made a lot of money for their company).

Preparing for Battle
Are you ready for spiritual battle?
So many times I find myself in the middle of a battle before I even realize I’m in one and boy, does that put me at a disadvantage! I need to go into training. Let’s just say a soldier wouldn’t go off to war without first preparing him or herself for battle, right? I’m no expert of war by any means but doesn’t it make sense that the commanders of the army would try to defeat the enemy on a smaller scale first before declaring war.
My eleven year old son, Tom absolutely loves anything to do with WW II. I once asked him why does he like it so much and his answer was,
“He had to learn as many war strategies as possible.”
I said, why?
His answer was, “So I can fight the enemy, of course!”
