The Home Photo Challenge was fun for me last year. Since I do not think much is going to be changing for me in the way of travel this year, I am going to continue the challenge for myself into 2021. This year I am going to add a little twist. I will give a brief description of each photo I take and write a Haiku to go along with it.
IF YOU WANT TO JOIN IN THE FUN.JUST TAKE A PHOTO IN OR AROUND YOUR HOME AND WRITE YOUR OWN BLOG AND POST THE LINK IN THE COMMENTS SECTION BELOW IT.

Some of my artist friends got me a sketching diary for Christmas this year. Here’s a quick sketch self portrait I did yesterday. I’m kind of lopsided.
Here are the parameters: A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.
ALTERNATE CHALLENGE:
ENDLESS HEART
by J. Lillie
My friend says reality is killing him:Covid-19, lay-offs, election cycles, family stress, overdue bills, black lives matter and white man’s privlege, Democrats, Republicans and the scraps of whatever is left between them. It’s all too much for one man’s mind to fathom never mind survive.
The land’s enshrouded.
Darkness reigns for the moment
But the sun will burn through.
I tell my friend that Reality doesn’t kill. Reality brings life: love, joy, peace, long- suffering, gentleness, kindness, faith, meekness and self control. Surely sin has bent our perception of what is and made it everything that is not real. Reality is the kingdom of God within us.
Everyone says it’s going to be all right. We’ll soon be back to normal…or at least a new normal. My soul sees something different. It ministers in images, like the old man sitting on the corner by the Cumberland Farms, mask down, waiting, just waiting for someone with “the bug” to walk by and breathe on him.
