ALTERNATE CHALLENGE:

ENDLESS HEART
by J. Lillie
My friend says reality is killing him:Covid-19, lay-offs, election cycles, family stress, overdue bills, black lives matter and white man’s privlege, Democrats, Republicans and the scraps of whatever is left between them. It’s all too much for one man’s mind to fathom never mind survive.

The land’s enshrouded.
Darkness reigns for the moment
But the sun will burn through.
I tell my friend that Reality doesn’t kill. Reality brings life: love, joy, peace, long- suffering, gentleness, kindness, faith, meekness and self control. Surely sin has bent our perception of what is and made it everything that is not real. Reality is the kingdom of God within us.

Eternity dwells
In jars made of weak clay, so
Endless heart live on.
Beautiful, Joseph, all the more for bearing witness to the source of true comfort in a chaotic world.
Thank you.
To a degree, I’ll respectfully disagree–as there’s the eternal reality of God’s Kingdom within us, but there’s no denying the reality of the world we live in temporarily, as strangers. I don’t know many people who’ve transcended the condition of the here and now. Many of us, like your friend, feel reality is potentially fatal–to our peaceful well-being, if not bodily. Love your writing, Bro–prose and poetry both ❤
Yes this is true. That said this present suffering is working in us an eternal weight of glory. So that said even our suffering is being turned into something glorious in the future. There is so much hope there and what I know is that all this suffering cannot destroy me only enrich me. Even in my stumbling and failing in the midst of it God is building something glorious for me through it. My real life is hid with God in Christ and I become more gloriously aware of that everyday.
I’m a bit envious of your faith.
Nothing to envy here. All I have is what the Lord has given me and what you have is the same.
Maybe there’s a glitch in the access function currently.
Such glitches are common and need much prayer to figure out. I discovered in the last few years that spending more time on the “access finction” rather than on striving to be better and quit certain behaviors actually brought quicker liberty.
Now that’s a helpful tip–THANK YOU!!!! And thanks for your email, Bro ❤
