Color Your World: Inch Worm

Today we are taking another page from the weird color packet. We begin the day with INCH WORM.

Now growing up inch worms were things you threw at girls to make them scream and no one thought badly about you for it (well except maybe your mother and that was only because your father had thrown inch worms at her), but nowadays when such behavior is frowned upon we have turned inch worm into this

Boys if you have an inch worm crayon in your box please don’t throw it at the girl you like. Crayons after all are not as soft as real inch worms.

Just a note. I threw money not inch worms into this lady’s violin case.

My Daily Walk 2-17-16

With the temperature plunging to -17 with a wind chill of -39,  I missed all my daily walks this weekend. I did spend a little time stretching though.

I really thought I would be back at it yesterday but the rains came in like a flood. The creek behind the house overflowed its banks and the entire neighborhood was one big puddle.image

So today in spite of a very busy schedule I insisted on stopping between appointments for a walk. I had to meet my accountant in Keene NH. Then on the way back home I stopped in the little town of Troy to walk the common.

Color Your World: Green-Yellow

It must be admitted that I march to the beat of a different drummer. I am usually behind the times or ahead of time but seldom am I right on time. It can be a little disconcerting for those who travel with me. But I ask you to bear with me as I work to make up time here at COLOR YOUR WORLD. It’s not the only place I am playing catch up, but I have to admit that once I find a little time catching up comes rather quickly with this challenge. I like that.

Today I am working on the color GREEN-YELLOW. You can click either of the capitalized link to go to Jennifer’s post and see how her other contributors played with the shade.

Here is the color we are going for:

Here is the closest I think I can come.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Life Imitates Art

Hello Dear Readers. This week the Daily Post has asked us to show life imitating art. Our challenge is to find a piece of art and show a reflection of it in real life.

CLICK HERE TO SEE HOW OTHERS INTERPRETED THIS THEME.

I have a few photos for you this week:

This is my daughter Melanie imitating El Greco’s, The Repentant Magdalen.

This is me imitating Rocky’s run up the steps of the Philadelphia art museum. To be fair my imitation was harder to pull off.

I did better at imitating him before the run up the stairs.

Honestly, I don’t know how anyone tells us apart when I am not moving.
