Share Your World – 2014 Week 29

THE QUESTIONS!!!!

Have you ever been in a submarine?  If you haven’t, would you want to?

I have never been in a submarine. I might consider touring one if it was above water and if all hands promised that it would stay above water for the duration of my visit.

Are you a listener or talker?

I can be both depending on the situation. I do a lot of listening, though, and I have tried hard to train myself not to insinuate my two cents into a session where someone is pouring their heart out to me.

Do you prefer crunchy peanut butter or smooth peanut butter?   Anything with your peanut butter?

I like crunchy peanut butter and I really like spaghetti sauce with with my peanut butter. If the spaghetti has hamburg in it the peanut butter does not need to be crunchy. I see those looks.Don’t be a hater! 🙂

Have you ever been drunk?

I have never been drunk and for that I am very thankful.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am so grateful for a great weekend with C.cada, our artists collaborative. Here are some photos of current projects we are working on.

I am really looking forward to bringing communion out to the people at the GVNA this week. These are such heart-warming services!

Share Your World 2014 Week 27

I am actually getting to share my world with Cee  early this week! I cannot tell you how excited that makes me.

When you have finished reading my shares go visit Ceeland and see what her other contributors have said.

http://ceenphotography.com/2014/07/07/share-your-world-2014-week-27/

If you were the architect of one existing building, which building would you select?

I think it would have to be a Victorian house. I thought about being the architect for some huge city office building or skyscraper. It would probably bring me more fame but not as much satisfaction as knowing I had built a shelter for a family’s lifetime.

What is one of your favorite quotes?

My all-time favorite quote is “Take time for the quiet moments; For God whispers and the world is loud.”

What color do you feel most comfortable wearing?

I feel best in black.

What is something you learned in the last week?

I learned the difference between elderberry and pokeberry.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am so grateful for a beautiful Fourth of July Weekend. I am looking forward to  preaching at this week’s Special Touch Disability awareness Day on Saturday and  on Sunday morning at Cornerstone.

Share Your World 2014 Week 26

share-your-world2

It is really hard to believe we  half way through the year! If you had told me all of the blessings I could expect out of 2014 in January, I would not have believed you. If you had told me how I would change this year I would have doubted you highly…but here we are!

I answer this week’s questions with a heart full of gratefulness for what this year has been.

When you have finished please check out Cee’s other contributors at…

Share Your World – 2014 Week 26

Is your refrigerator, organized or a mess inside?

My refrigerator is still a mess but it is not half the mess it use to be! I am getting a real grip on things like cleaning schedules and what not. I told my Lead Pastor the other day in staff meeting I have never been more organized than I am at this point of my life! It is truly amazing the changes that have happened in me this year.

If you could be famous for one thing, what would it be?

I would love to be a famous author.

What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?

There are so many things I would like still to do but I guess in light of the last question my answer would be to publish a book and have it be successful.

Where do you eat breakfast?

I eat breakfast at the dining table usually while I am reading.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am very grateful that last week I got to visit my son in Pennsylvania. This week I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and getting organized for the upcoming Special Touch event, visiting with missionaries from China and leading our first Cloverton organizational meeting. Yes!Cloverton is coming to Cornerstone in the fall and I am pastoring the team that is organizing the concert. 🙂

Share Your World 2014: Week 23

share-your-world2

This post was prepared for Cee’s Share Your World Challenge at

http://ceenphotography.com/2014/06/09/share-your-world-2014-week-23/

Head on over when your done here. I am quite sure you will find some very interesting answers to her questions there!

Here are my answers:

Would your rather be stuck in a small plane with mild turbulence for 2 hours or be a passenger in a car racing the Daytona 500?

I think either would be quite fun. However I have done the small plane turbulence thing so I choose the car race as it would be a new experience.

Would you rather be alone with nobody in the vicinity for one month or never be alone not even for a minute for one month?

Oh my goodness never being alone for a month sounds like somebody’s version of Hell (Oh yeah mine).

Would you like to sleep in a human size nest in a tree or be snuggled in a burrowed spot underground?

Oooo a burrow please. It would make me feel like a Hobbit.

In a car would you rather drive or be a passenger?

I like being driven. Not that that ever happens mind you but I like to be a passenger (or at least I use to)

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful for so many things you can find a few of them here:

#100happydays Day 13

“Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting some on yourself.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson

100_3934

I have been so busy finding my happiness I totally forgot to post pictures of it! On Monday my happy place was meeting with our Special Touch Chapter Committee. This great group of folks is planning a disability awareness day for July. I get tot lead worship and preach that day! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Share Your World 2014 Week 22

Week 22????? Do you know what this means?!? We are almost half way through the year 2014!!! Folks it’s almost Christmas!!! share-your-world2 Today’s post is brought to you by Cee at

http://ceenphotography.com/2014/06/02/share-your-world-2014-week-22/

I am quite sure she has already finished her Christmas shopping. Meanwhile here I am just getting started (late as usual) with week 22 of sharing my world and I think I might have totally missed week twenty-one and several of the teen weeks. My tardiness lately is giving me serious  doubts that I am going to be ready for Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza or any other holiday before February of 2015. Can I have a little more time please?

So Cee asks…

Regarding animals would you prefer not having them around or having domestics pets, farm animals, or seeing them in nature or the zoo?

I love my little white dogs. They are great company  but I have often wondered what it would be like to keep chickens or goats. Everyone says I am crazy to even think it. And I probably don’t have time for them anyway. I certainly would never have time to get them Christmas, Chanukah or Kwanza gifts;  So I guess my little dogs will just have to do.Christmas presents]tmas-tree Are you a collector of anything?

Books! Books! And more books! I use to collect rocks. That doesn’t take as much time but rocks are not as much fun to read. And few people like to get rocks for Christmas, Chanukah or Kwanza so having a book collection can be advantageous if you are pressed for time.

🙂

If you could know the answer to any question, besides “What is the meaning of life?”, what would it be?

Why is it the older you get the faster time seems to go? I mean, it seems like it should work the other way around. When I was a kid I just wanted things to go slower and Christmas always seemed years away (we didn’t celebrate Chanukah and Kwanza hadn’t even been invented). Now it seems I don’t even have time to lose the Christmas decorations in the attic before it’s time to find them again.

If you were to treat yourself to the “finer things” what would you treat yourself to?

A Christmas, Chanukah or Kwanza shopping spree is the only thing that comes to mind this week.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful it wasn’t Christmas, Chanukah or Kwanza. And apparently I am looking forward to starting my holiday shopping. It is rather odd where these questions take me sometimes! 🙂

Share Your World With Cee 2014 Week 21

I am so glad to be making the time to share a corner of my world this week! When you have finished here pop on over to Cee’s place and see how her other contributors have answered the questions.

http://ceenphotography.com/2014/05/26/share-your-world-2014-week-21/

share-your-world2

Here are Cee’s great questions of the week:

If you could make a 15 second speech to the entire world, what would you say?

Don’t forget about Jesus. He has never forgotten about you. Oh and eat your broccoli,  unless of course you have hematomacrosis in which case avoid broccoli (I had to add that last sentence in order for my speech to be long enough).

🙂

If you could take a photograph, paint a picture or write a story of any place in the world, what and where would it be?

I think I would choose the New England countryside. Oh wait I am already doing that…

If you had to spend one weekend alone in a single store but could remove nothing, which store would you pick?

Why Barnes & Noble of course. You don’t have to remove the product to read it!

If you were given a boat or yacht today, what would you name it?  (You an always sell the yacht later)

Tomorrow’s Nest Egg (Since I am selling it much to my daughter’s chagrin)

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am so thankful for the folks who came out to the class on love last week and I am thankful to have the opportunity to teach the next class in the series tonight!

Share Your World With Cee Cee 2014 Week 19

share-your-world2

This post is written in response to Cee Neuner’s blog series Share Your World. It has been a few days since I have written anything so I thought this would be a good exercise to warm up my “write” brain.

When you have finished with me here go on over to Cee’s forum to see what her other contributors have said. You can find those posts here:

Here are Cee’s questions for the week:

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I just had to answer this before I began the questions proper. The reason I could not write this weekend was because I was attending my daughter and future son-in-law’s graduation.

Amanda Lillie, graduate Northpoint Bible College

James Franklin graduate Northpoint Bible College and his future wife Melanie Lillie

Now all of my kids are college grads. It was so nice to have them all together for the graduation. We made a pretty splendid party when all was said and done.

Note how happy Amanda is to be photographed

This week I am looking forward to meeting with the Winchendon Garden Club to discuss the Ingleside project and our community garden project.

Do you prefer shopping or going to a park?

I much prefer going to the park. I was just telling my life coach the other day that I needed more time to just sit and watch the world go by. I don’t need to buy it. I just need to see it.

What is the highest score you’ve ever made in bowling?  Actual or virtually played.

Oh this is embarrassing. I think my highest score was between 60 and 70.

Name the foreign countries you’ve been to.

I have been to Mexico, England, Iceland, Ireland and Holland. I am going to tour Ireland with Amanda in the fall.

Describe your own outlook on life in seven words or less.

Follow Christ. Love others.  Live your passion.
