I cannot truly fast a lot because I take too many medications but I try occasionally to do without something I really like. I know I need to do better>
Don’t feel guilty about this at all. I have done everything from a water only fast to fasting television for the 21 days. I was surprised by how hard the television fast was.
This is my first true fast. I’m not able to fast completely due to health reasons-so I asked The Holy Spirit for guidance. It’s amazing how fast he answers sometimes!! Knowing I need to deny myself to be more open in my relationship with Him-so I am on day 13 of no alcohol. And the clarity and open doors are just astonishing. It’s up to me to stay faithful and follow through-which is my vulnerability. Thank you for sharing!
I am so glad you have taken this step! You are not the first to tell me about an alcohol fast. The comment you make about clarity is similar to the comments of my other friend who fasted in like manner. Tell me if you can some of the things God is showing you.
It may seem small, but he’s bringing me back to where I used to be-that I know I am worthy and enough. That I don’t have to be like everyone because He has great plans for me. I bring something different to the table and that is what is going to set me apart.
I love how the Apostle Paul puts these exact thoughts in both the book of Romans and 1 Corinthians. …”He gives each one a gift and not all gifts are the same.”

So thankful
Really cool bro! Fasting as done wonders for me. Made me appreciate the little things I use to overlook . God bless!

It does have the ability to really focus the mind and spirit on the things which are important.
