My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
2 for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you peace and prosperity.
3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.[a]
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord and shun evil.
8 This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones.
9 Honor the Lord with your wealth,
with the firstfruits of all your crops;
10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing,
and your vats will brim over with new wine. Proverbs 3:1-10
It’s better than any anti-anxiety drug science can develop and sell at high prices–almost a “floaty” feeling of calm, as though I’m literally lifted above stressful circumstances, transcending them. And the Presence of Jesus (Prince of Peace), Father God and Holy Spirit is so strong, embracing me–and “holding all things together” (can’t recall verse).
On separate topic: here’s a link for refried beans recipe, in case you don’t care for my personal one–it sounds really GOOD: https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/refried-beans/
Also, I’m going to make my own red enchilada sauce, from recipe, since I think it was the canned sauce which disappointed my recent chicken enchiladas; will update you in future 🙂
I love this! I agree and would add that for me peace is a force field that seals me away from the pain the world constantly tires to cause me.
Oh yes, that’s good–a force field of protection against pain from just living in the world!!
I have come to it that I need this force field. Sin is like a poisonous gas all around me and I need to be sealed in and rexealed in continually.
I’m in total agreement with you–being sealed by the Holy Spirit is very reassuring.
