Morning Direction From Scripture 6-30-20

137 You are righteous, Lord,
    and your laws are right.
138 The statutes you have laid down are righteous;
    they are fully trustworthy.
139 My zeal wears me out,
    for my enemies ignore your words.
140 Your promises have been thoroughly tested,
    and your servant loves them.
141 Though I am lowly and despised,
    I do not forget your precepts.
142 Your righteousness is everlasting
    and your law is true.
143 Trouble and distress have come upon me,
    but your commands give me delight.
144 Your statutes are always righteous;
    give me understanding that I may live. Psalm 119: 137-144

What are the ramifications if God’s laws are right?

    • Yes. But more than that. If we do obey they are the keys to unlocking the power of THE KINGDOM. For me this is the greatest part of grace. Forgiveness is the beginning. The power to obey and thereby unlock wells of untapped power is such an awesome part.

      • I probably should avoid trying to answer the questions you pose–I think I had difficulties with this back in the old days when I was “Caddo”, trying to participate, wanting to be part of the elite group of your followers. Nine years later, I no longer need to be a “groupie” :)–I do well to just follow Jesus, and what I understand the Holy Spirit to be telling me.

        My response to the above question focused on the last part, “…if God’s laws are right?” Obviously God’s laws ARE right–and the immediate answer, from my shame-based default position, is that if I’m disobedient then there’s no question that I am in the wrong. So for now, I’ll just leave the questions alone. God bless you, and keep you safe and healthy–it’s crazy out there.
