Morning Direction From Scripture 2-9-19

Concord 1

Then I thought, “To this I will appeal:
    the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand.
11 I will remember the deeds of the Lord;
    yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.
12 I will consider all your works
    and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”

13 Your ways, God, are holy.
    What god is as great as our God?
14 You are the God who performs miracles;
    you display your power among the peoples.
15 With your mighty arm you redeemed your people,
    the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. Psalm 77: 10-15

What are the  miracles in your past?

  1. Praise God! I hear you Debbie. My own walk into grace was a true miracle. I came to Him hearing 48 different voices in my head. My “angels” were leading me into some very dark things, but on the day of my repentance the voices just stopped.

  2. In 2007, my husband was rushed into hospital after an MRI scan revealed a brain tumour. After surgery and rehabilitation, he came home. We had been told the tumour had been taken away completely and tests of the tissue did not reveal anything of concern. A letter arrived in the post however, not really a letter, an inter-departmental note in effect, to the effect that his tumour was of the worst kind and research revealed that life expectancy could be counted in months. The shock was profound. One night during the following week, I stayed awake all night praying. I dozed, of course, on and off. In the early morning I was lying awake and my husband turned to me in the bed and told me that he had two presents for me: a church and a boat. I was puzzled, (he’d been in hospital for a month and had been nowhere since to get me any presents). I began to question him about these presents and it was as if he suddenly ‘woke up’ and said it had been a dream so vivid he’d thought it real. I questioned him about the boat and the church in the dream. He said the boat had been a lifeboat and the church, a church ‘for the people’ and in Marseille. We were living in France at the time. He had visited Marseille once, only on business. I thought the ‘lifeboat’ a very positive image.

    My husband is still with me in 2019. In perfectly good health. He visited Marseille a few years back and his hotel room was overlooked by a church. It is the eglise ‘Notre Dame de Gard’. It is named for the protection of the seagoing folks of Marseille – sailors, in effect. My husband is a naval architect and his whole working life has been to do with ships, largely in some kind of distress. He visited the church, which is high up. He found the interior to be filled with ‘boats’ – models hanging from the roof, paintings on the walls. There was my gift of a church and there was the boat – or rather, hundreds of them! I believe after that dreadful night of prayer ‘someone’ spoke to me through my husband to tell me I was going to get what I was praying for. There is much more to this, but this is already long enough. If that’s not a miracle, I don’t know what is.

    • That is so powerful. What you and your husband experienced was a prophetic word from the Holy Spirit of God. He often does these things in prayer to let the individual praying know that He is on the case. It is sometimes years before we see the actual fulfillment of the “word” that was spoken. Most often we recognize its fulfillment because of some inner witness we have that “this is it!” but most often it looks a little different than what we thought it would.
