Evening Meditation 3-13-17

Send out your light and your truth;
    let them guide me.
Let them lead me to your holy mountain,
    to the place where you live.
There I will go to the altar of God,
    to God—the source of all my joy.
I will praise you with my harp,
    O God, my God!

What is joy?

  1. Although I’ve no experience with drugs, I imagine the JOY I’ve felt must be like a chemical/drug high. It transports me above and beyond this imperfect, troublesome life–lights me up inside.

  2. There is two types of Joy Pastor Lillie , Worldly joy which is temporary and God’s inner Joy which is not about being Happy Clappy it’s where we Rejoice exceedingly because of who we are in Christ Jesus and this is Eternal even in the Storms of Life we Praise and glorify God.

    Christian Love and Blessings – Anne.

    • So true. This joy is not created by our circumstances but by surrendering to Christ’s love and basking in it. It can’t be drummed up or shouted down (although I like to drum and shout). this joy has to be received and reckoned.
