For you are God, my only safe haven.
Why have you tossed me aside?
Why must I wander around in grief,
oppressed by my enemies?
3 Send out your light and your truth;
let them guide me. Psalm 43:1,2

I don’t believe God ever stops sending out His Light and Truth–we see through a blur, faith which is encumbered by an oppressive world and our own inner demons. Someday we’ll have new, perfect eyes…
I cannot wait for that.
Me neither, Pastor J–today would be a good day (just sayin’, Lord).
Soon and very soon.
Now that song is in my head: “soon and very soon, we are going to meet the Lord…”
And I cannot wait!
Me too.
I was reminded of Psalm 42 recently Pastor Lillie the writer felt the same way, they asked where is God but they knew what to do. The Lord tells us He is always with us even in the hard times that life brings as confirmed below.
Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression you will not be burned up the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD your God The Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

We have to reckon our feelings to follow the fact that God is always with us. Our feelings don’t like to be reckoned. They like to be in control and most of us are used to allowing that.
