Evening Meditation 3-3-17

wp-image-1078118197jpg.jpg

My tears have been my food
    day and night,
while they say to me all the day long,
    “Where is your God?”
These things I remember,
as I pour out my soul:
how I would go with the throng
and lead them in procession to the house of God
with glad shouts and songs of praise,
a multitude keeping festival. Psalm 42:3,4

How long has it been since you have been in a joyful procession to the house of God with glad shouts and songs of praise? If it has been too long what are you willing to do to make it happen?

  1. I like the Balance that God has in Music Pastor Lillie, not always heard today, it’s mostly just the disco beat and much repetition for the young but God reaches out to every Generation as confirmed in the Scriptures below. When I started going to Church Scripture in Song or Psalms as they are called in Scripture were popular but we also sung Hymns and Spiritual Songs, they all come from a Spirit filled Heart and in them is Shouts and Praise, the Joy of The Lord so overwhelming too.

Colossians 3:15-17 And let the Peace of God rule in your Hearts to the which also ye are called in One Body and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all Wisdom teaching and admonishing one another in Psalms and Hymns and Spiritual Songs, Singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed do all in the Name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.

    Ephesians 5:18-20 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess but be filled with the Spirit Speaking to yourselves in Psalms and Hymns and Spiritual songs Singing and making Melody in your heart to the Lord Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

    • I am with you in that Anne. I love how God includes the music of every generation in His kingdom. Yet there is a sound that is from Heaven distinct from all other music
I love to sing in the Spirit.

      • Yes the Melody in our Heart

Ephesians 5:18-20 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess but be filled with the Spirit Speaking to yourselves in Psalms and Hymns and Spiritual songs Singing and making Melody in your heart to the Lord Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

        Blessings – Anne
