This week the Daily post has challenged us to show photos of PLEASANT SURPRISES WE HAVE COME ACROSS ON THE ROAD TAKEN.
Click the underlined link to see the journeys of a thousand miles.
Here are my roads taken and the surprises I found.

The road through the toothpick forest.

The Road to the New Blarney Castle

The road through the roses.

You have certainly been down some stunning roads!
I have lived a privileged life. I am very thankful for the opportunities I have had.
You’ve certainly taken some lovely roads.
Indeed I think we have been on some of the same roads. That last photo is at Longwood. I know you have walked that.
Might walk it again in May. My friend and I are batting some ideas around.
My daughter is taking me to Lancaster again for my big 50 this year.
Ooo…that is a bog one! 😉
🙂
Big one! lol
It’s going to be a fun year!
When I turned 50 I celebrated all year, with my high school friends, cousins, and others who turned 50 the same year. It’s kinda a big deal.
I am doing the same.
Awesome…and in a few years I’m doing it again at 60! lol
😉
Wonderful pictures! I would love to walk on any of these roads!
Thank you. I enjoyed walking them!
