Evening Meditation 2-28-17

All who hate me whisper about me,
    imagining the worst.
“He has some fatal disease,” they say.
    “He will never get out of that bed!”
Even my best friend, the one I trusted completely,
    the one who shared my food, has turned against me.

10 Lord, have mercy on me.
    Make me well again, so I can pay them back!
11 I know you are pleased with me,
    for you have not let my enemies triumph over me.
12 You have preserved my life because I am innocent;
    you have brought me into your presence forever. Psalm 41: 7-12

What are some of the signs you take to know that God is pleased with you?

  1. Sometimes it just comes up in our conversations, or maybe a sudden unexplained feeling of joy/contentment/peace–or sometimes like today, he gives me an inexpensive treat, just like the Good Father!

  2. I never tell God what to do, Pastor Lillie, I mostly ask respectfully when praying for myself for His forgiveness if I have been slack or yes if I have sinned, I’m not Perfected yet although I’m Aiming to be. I ask too for His will to be done in my life or to bind Satan when needed but sometimes I do ask for personal needs.

    Like tonight a very violent Storm started suddenly and realizing as I was Commenting on a Blog that my Mobility Scooter would get wet and could be damaged but also concerned that the Comment needed to be finished in case we had a blackout and it would all be lost, I prayed to God asking that He would protect my Scooter.

    When I was able to get out to the front where the Scooter was which was not to long after, all around it was very wet and getting wetter but not one drop of water was on my Scooter even though it should have been saturated both because of the amount of rain and also because the drain above it overflows when it Storms, I always move it down the driveway before it Storms but we had heard no warning tonight that there was going to be a Storm and it hit fast and very hard. God has protected my Scooter before when I have Prayed after being woken up during a Storm but I was still amazed and than I read your Post.

    God is good All the Time and all good things come from Him, yes even dry Scooters.

    Christian Love Always – Anne.
