But the wicked will die.
The Lord’s enemies are like flowers in a field—
they will disappear like smoke.
21 The wicked borrow and never repay,
but the godly are generous givers.
22 Those the Lord blesses will possess the land,
but those he curses will die. Psalm 37:20-22

Perhaps what we learn of ‘how God views time’ is that it is different from how man views it. In my particular religion we are taught that a day to us is like seconds to God, years are a few minutes in His eyes and so forth. And I’ve been cautioned not to dwell on the inequality of that because even as short as man’s time is, for some of us it’s still far too long. We do not see as God sees – we cannot comprehend the big picture in His way. And to Him all the trouble and strife of man’s years is like smoke, quickly gone from view. A good way to live – to remember this time (man’s time) is transitory and small and soon over. Thanks for the reminder! 🙂
We do get caught up in the ephemeral nature of our world. Long for us and long for God are two different things. Someday our perspective will be different.
Things, people, can come and go quickly.
Yes they can. This is a transient world.
Indeed it is.
