You care for people and animals alike, O Lord.

All humanity finds shelter

Says “All”–so I’m thinking no qualifiers…
What if people refuse to come under His wings?
Well, yeah–there’s that…if people refuse the ALL that God offers, it’s their loss. God’s not going to force His love and protection, salvation and myriad blessings on anyone, as I understand the Bible. I’ll never understand that choice, though…I always think, “wouldn’t you want to hedge your bets, just to be on the safe side??” But I’m also a firm believer that God does set apart some people, put His seal on them from before birth–so maybe that’s why it was easy for me to accept and obey, even with very limited understanding at 13-14, and grow ever so slowly into the current intimacy I enjoy with Him. No turnin’ back for this old gal 🙂
Amen. I do not understand how people could turn away from such an awesome promise either!
I know that most people–and I have been one at times–want to “captain their own ship”…but when the ship eventually capsizes (and it’s almost guaranteed to), having a Savior and Lord sure looks like the much better Plan A 🙂
Amen.
