I have had a broken heart, and I’ve known what it means to have a contrite spirit–in the latter instance particularly, I’ve felt His Presence and comfort.
I think a contrite spirit comes when I have broken my own heart.
Yeah, you’re so right…when I’ve sinned at great cost to me, and disappointed our loving Father, definitely I’ve known contrition then. Thanks for saying it clearly so that it jogged my memory, experience.
