Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
9 For He spoke, and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood fast. Psalm 33:8,9
Describe things in life that steal your awe.

Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
9 For He spoke, and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood fast. Psalm 33:8,9
Do I understand the question correctly–“steal” as in take away, rob, make you to NOT have the awe?
Still wondering what you’re asking, before I answer 🙂
In answer to your first question yes. What are the things in life which rob you of awe.
Ohh okay, okay–depression and doubt, fatigue, disappointment, continuous stress/disturbance and oppression in my living situation…
Yes for me it is fear of man and a spirit of control which constantly works to keep the peace instead of making peace. I have struggled with that all my life
Interesting thought–difference between “keeping peace” and “making peace”… BIG topic, brother.
It surely is and I have always struggled with the difference and the line between the two.
Since my issues have made relationships (even friendships) impossible, the solitary recluse life has at least served to reduce the need for keeping or making peace. The things you mention struggling with pretty much go along with your calling to be a pastor–I suspect there’s a high incidence of pastor burn-out…
