Because He is the God of Love, He must also be the God of Justice–it would not be loving to simply allow injustice to flourish (which it seems to do for a long while, but our hope is in the promise that Judgement Day is coming).
Yes and that will set the world right like cutting cancer out of a body brings health. It is just as frightening a concept though.
