Praise the Lord!
For he has heard my cry for mercy.
7 The Lord is my strength and shield.
I trust him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. Psalm 28:6,7

Never heard the question asked quite that way–“intentional”?? If you mean repeating, “Thank You Lord” a gazillion times in a day while dancing around joyfully, then I qualify 🙂
You sound like the 10th leper from the story of Jesus and the 10 lepers (do you know it?) There are some who are just naturally thankful. I am like one of the other nine who need to make sure that thanksgiving is a planned part of my existence otherwise I do not move naturally to it. I would like to be naturally thankful but it seems to be something missing from my DNA; So for me it must be a planned intentional thing.
Please don’t misunderstand, I’ll clarify–I wasn’t always thankful…this overflowing gratitude is a fairly recent thing, so I’m trying to make up for all the lost/blind/clueless years! And I do my fair share of annoyed murmuring, as well! I’m no pristine saint (aside from the Blood of Jesus–“holy white-out”) 🙂
I totally get it.
Good 🙂
