Morning Direction From Scripture 10-21-16

I pray to you, O Lord, my rock.
Do not turn a deaf ear to me. Psalm 28:1

What are some things that make us feel like God has turned a deaf ear to us? When we feel this way are we looking at it wrong or are we accurate in our assessment?

  1. In early years when I was “saved” but didn’t really know the Lord, thus didn’t know how to live for Him, I made tons of bad choices. So if it seemed He’d turned a deaf ear to my prayers–maybe I was deaf–or maybe He wasn’t going to answer until I turned to Him and got with His program. These days things are different. If He doesn’t answer immediately, it may feel uncomfortable, but I know He’s doing something behind the scenes. I know not to listen to satan’s accusations anymore (that I’m not “behaving like a good Christian”, or whatever nonsense)–because he’s a liar through and through. God knows my heart, and I know His–so I just need to sit tight 🙂
