I got lost when I was on a 3rd grade field trip at the Philadelphia Zoo. We stopped for a snack break and I fell asleep under a tree and when I woke up everyone was gone! Yup, apparently a teacher had miscounted when they left!
I was very scared, but yet at same time was curious and instead of staying at same place went ahead and wandered around, which made it harder for them to find me! But thankfully they did and I was safe 🙂 Though some of the kids were mad for they missed seeing animals because they were looking for me!
It is interesting that feelings of fear and curiosity were mixed together. Getting lost makes me just keep pressing on trying to find myself. I think of that as something that often hinders me from seeing more of God’s work in my life. Sometimes I have to grip my own nature tightly and stand still to wait for God’s direction to come. That happened just this morning actually. I’m still waiting….

I understand what you mean. The standing still can be hard.
It sure can be.
