There are idols everywhere to be sure. Falsely we think we can, with our limited senses and frailties imagine what we need and point ourselves in the right direction without God. I hear focus “inward” when actually I think should be focusing outward on Him and others.
Interesting thoughts here. It is hard for us to see the things within our lives which we idolize for sure.
