Midafternoon Meditation 2-24-16

Yesterday the morning Scripture I was sent to was from Psalm 46:10.

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.”

Here are some more thoughts from that time of meditation on being still.

The voice of God says, “Be still and know that I am God. Let My heart overcome your heart.

Do not try to still your own emotions.Neither base your life in how you feel. Instead let My heart overcome your heart by just focusing on Me.

A wind is coming that will blow and scatter emotions. Those who try to stand in their feelings will be blown away like the chaff. Those who anchor to ME will not be moved. Their emotions will not move.

Be still. This move of God is not about the stirring of emotions but about the stirring of the spirit.”

  1. I loved that you shared this at RPM today as our devotion. This so ties in with what God has been speaking to me about abiding in Him. “Stirring of the spirit” is exactly what it is all about for when your spirit is stirring your ear is more a tuned to God’s voice. And when your more a tuned to the Spirit’s voice you then walk in the Spirit which in turn helps you abide in Him more and Him abide in you!
