So I just learned how to do this and really hope it works… It is time to once again answer Cee’s Sharable questions for the week. To see how others answered these 5 questions click the Share You World logo above and go to Cee’s site!
Here are the questions and my answers!
What type of music relaxes you the most or do you prefer silence?
Right now I am working in silence, but often I like to play classical music or light Celtic music to get the juices flowing. It really depends on my mental frame and what I have to do at the moment in questions. If I am highly stressed I need quiet to get myself calm enough to work. But if I am bored or feeling distracted music helps me to center and get calm and focused on the task at hand. If I am really stressed and can get away I like to bask in music and do nothing but float on the sound.
Show us a two of your favorites photographs? Explain why they are your favorite. If you are not a photographer, think of a two favorite scenes in your life and tell us about them.
Now this is a really hard one. I have thousands of photos in my archive and to just pick two seems almost impossible. I like this photo because it is a great memory of a wonderful vacation with my kids. We don’t all get together that often anymore So those times when we can all gather are very special.
I love this shot taken on Galway Bay. I was alone and walking along the road as the sun set over the waters. I remember being very tired and in quite a bit of pain but this sunset was like a gift from God letting me see the beauty in life again.
What is your favorite tradition? (family tradition, church tradition, whatever)
I love Sunday morning church. I think it is a very healthy habit we have lost in much of our culture. But my favorite service is when Christmas falls on a Sunday. The service may only be an hour-long but something in the act of going to church on Christmas Day restores the whole meaning to the holiday. It feels profoundly spiritual.
If you could go back and talk to yourself at age 18 what advice would you give yourself? Or if you are younger than 25 what words of wisdom would you like to tell yourself at age 50?
I would tell myself to stand up for yourself more. Don’t be afraid of an argument and for goodness sake let yourself feel and express emotions. Laugh more. Cry more. Get angry more. People might be more put out with you but eventually all your attempts to keep things pleasant for those around you by “keeping the peace” will fail anyway.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful my daughter and son-in-law have found a lovely apartment. I am looking forward to this week being a little quieter than Easter week.

The link worked perfectly when I clicked on “Share Your World” logo. Yay! Great photo of your kids but I hope you got one with all four of you together. The Galway Bay photo is absolutely beautiful, Pastor J!!!
It is so funny…What would I tell myself at 18….is almost the opposite of yours. I would tell that Brenda to Breathe more…Fight less….know that it will all work itself out whether I worry, panic, cry, scream or Fight. And for God sake stop punching walls!
We always have been rather polar in our address of life.
