Hardly An Easy Fix
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Easy Fix.”
Today the Daily Post has told us to, Write a post about any topic you wish, but make sure it ends with “And all was right in the world.”
The mountains melted like wax as the Psalmist had promised.
The cities of the Earth crumbled leaving millions buried in their rubble, like John the Revelator had prophesied.
The armies of Antichrist gathered on the fields of Har Megiddo and Messiah rode His white stallion into battle.
Christ spoke and the Heavens rolled back. The ground shuddered. The crows of the Earth gathered to feast on flesh.
The dragon rose from the place before his armies even as the flesh of his men melted at the words which issued from Messiah’s mouth.
The blood tide rose to the height of a war- horse’s bridle while archangels bound the demon in his monstrous form. Judgment was passed on Lucifer and he was cast into the abyss for a thousand years, even as most of Earth’s population perished in the judgment that made all things new.
These few words descry an event yet to take place but it will come as sure as the sun will rise. It is a great and terrible day in our futures. It is hardly an easy fix. It is the end of all we know and yet it is what must and will happen for the power of Death and Hades to once and forever be laid low.
When men ask why God doesn’t come in and fix everything and put an end to wars and famines and plagues, It is because this event, this tragedy, this glorious promise is what it will take for all mankind to look back upon and say with full affirmation “And all was right with the world.”
Fasting and Prayer
I think answering Deb’s final question after seeking God is each of our next steps
Every January our whole church is asked to participate in a fasting and prayer time for usually a 21 day fast. Although, this year we have been called to do a 10 day fast now and another one in the fall. Many of us seek God’s direction for the coming year and many seek healing of an illness, and many seek salvation for loved ones, not to mention many other reasons.
The first time I participated in the 21 day fast I was a new believer and didn’t really know what to expect. I have to say I was not a happy camper because of the caffeine headache was brutal for the first few days of it but then I acclimated okay. You see the first year I did the fast I really didn’t understand the importance of the prayer aspect of the fast. I mean I prayed…

A Fireside Chat With Ben, Tom and J.S.
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Fireside Chat.”
The Daily Post has asked, What person whom you don’t know very well in real life — it could be a blogger whose writing you enjoy, a friend you just recently made, etc. — would you like to have over for a long chat in which they tell you their life story?
Well I had a hard time narrowing it down to one. I actually had a hard time narrowing it down to three but that’s what I did.
With four people who write or talk as part of their ministry it would probably take more than a fireside chat just for introductions. We’d probably need at least a weekend to get all the stories told maybe even longer but I would really love to get together with:
Ben Nelson from http://anotherredletterday.com/
Tom Raines from https://tomraines.wordpress.com/
and J.S. Park from http://jsparkblog.com/
to learn their faith stories. I have really enjoyed reading the uplifting blogs these men write and would love the opportunity to learn more. One thing I know if we cannot make it work this side of glory these men can feel welcome in my mansion when we get to eternity and won’t we have stories to tell then?!?
