Happiness isn’t something you experience; it’s something you remember.
While I am not sure how I feel aout this quote I am interested in the role memory plays on happiness. I am happy for two hundred and fifty years of memories for my hometown!
What role do you think memory plays in happiness?

What wonderful history your hometown must have. :). Honestly, I tend to remember the not so happy memories more than the happy ones. I pray for Jesus to help me remember happy things / moments.
We all have those. I try to think of them as places I have to pass through to get to the bright spots.
That is a beautiful way to look at it! Thanks! 🙂
How can you remember something you have never experienced????What then is a memory? This quote confuses me…but I like the pictures.
I think the writer is saying that it is not what happens to us that makes us happy but how we view it.
I read that quote a few times before scrolling down and finding I’m not the only one to puzzle.
It isn’t something you experience??? Then how can you remember it???
I re-live the happiness when I look back and remember.
Me too! But I think that the experience is only half the happiness. It is also the light in which you see it and as we see things through the blood of Christ everything becomes a profit to us!
