Y’know, I could very easily be a hoarder…I mean collector of odd items. 🙂
So when I saw this big old square bucket at a market in Haarlem I thought “that would look really cool on our dining table.”
Never mind that our dining room is decorated in turn of the century Victorian fashion…well except for all the other junk my mom and I have put in it….
Honestly the only thing that kept me from buying it was the knowledge that I would have to use it instead of my suitcase as my one carry on. It makes me think I should maybe never vacation in the States. Who knows what I would come back with?!?

Your bucket looks like it belongs on the farm my Nana used to have. I like it! Pastor J, you are so good at the photo challenges!
Thanks Deb! But today I am really glad I did not buy it. I would just have to be throwing it out as God tells me to “simplify”.
It would make a great garden design. I adore it, you should have bought it!! 🙂
Fellow hoarders unite!!!!! 🙂
That is an interesting item. We’ve kicked ourselves many times over leaving behind a couple of antiques.
It seems the general concensus that I left behind a real gem. I guess I should have chucked the suitcase.
Yep! You can always buy more clothes! LOL
So true and just think how much room I will have by getting rid of the suitcase and the clothes with that much space I could probably afford TWO buckets!
Ha, ha. I almost laughed out loud when you wrote that you wanted to put a big ol’ bucket on your dining room table! Although I have to admit that it is a pretty cool looking bucket! I struggle with the ‘I really don’t need this’ battle, whenever I step into a craft store. LOL! I tend to buy things I see on sale, but then I don’t know what to do with the items after so they sit in my craft closet. I’m learning that even if something is really neat and nicely priced, it still doesn’t mean that I need to buy it. 🙂
So true. The whole decor thing sort of escapes me almost as much as the whole fashion thing is difficult for me. The whole idea of going for a certain look feels a little to constraining.
LOL! But it was a cool basket.
Yes it was.
