This week’s challenge from http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/08/30/weekly-photo-challenge-sea/ is the word :SEA
Here are my word pictures:

Chatham MA There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat. And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures.
William Shakespeare

Falmouth MA-There is one spectacle grander than the sea, that is the sky; there is one spectacle grander than the sky, that is the interior of the soul.
Victor Hugo

Port Clyde ME- Look! Don’t be deceived by appearances – men and things are not what they seem. All who are not on the rock are in the sea!
William Booth

The Zeiderzee, The Netherlands- A man who is not afraid of the sea will soon be drowned, he said, for he will be going out on a day he shouldn’t. But we do be afraid of the sea, and we do only be drownded now and again.
John Millington Synge
Incredible shots.
Thanks Skye!

Thanks for the ping back!
Je….my question to you is: what are you getting at, in other words, what is your point….
Hey Brother, I am not sure there is really one point. Each photo needs to be looked at individually and its quote thought about individually. Some are not really serious at all while others have some deep spiritual meaning.

Lovely water shots. Great quotes, I really liked the last two.
Thanks Patti!
Ohhhh my goodness, aren’t these gorgeous!!
Thanks Sis. The ocean is one of my favorite views and one of my greatest inspirations for writing. Just hearing the waves washes new ideas into my mind.
You and me both, Bro–I knew we must have something else besides Jesus in common!
Now there ya’ go! I haven’t been to the beach this year. I am running a little short on inspiration. Have you been able to go?
Nah, sad to say, there are just a couple places on Puget Sound by me–both require arduous bus trips, and I’m less comfortable going alone than I used to be when I was young and fit. So I thoroughly enjoy the bloggers who post wonderful beach/ocean shots–I can mentally be there, get inspiration. God doled out extra imagination, when he made me–so I can practically smell the seaweed, feel the distinctive air. See? Here I go! If you get a chance, check out my ICHTHUS (I-Challenge) post.
I loved the Icthus post! I am sorry you cannot get to the beach. Perhaps if I get there before snow flies I will put up some more pictures.
So glad you like the Ichthus post, Pastor. YES, to more pics of my earthly heart, the sea!!
It appears God has calmed all the seas here, Pastor J. Your photos speak volumes of peace to me.
I am glad. Our world is greatly in need of things which speak peace.

Thanks for the ping back my friend!
The sea, my favorite place to be and one of my favorites to view in photo’s. Beautiful! And the quote by William Booth – not one I see often. Kind of partial to the ‘founder’. 🙂
It is one of my places of inspiration. I am a big fan of William Booth and the Salvation Army myself!
