THE SIGHT WITHIN
by J.LILLIE
Everyone says it’s going to be all right. We’ll soon be back to normal…or at least a new normal. My soul sees something different. It ministers in images, like the old man sitting on the corner by the Cumberland Farms, mask down, waiting, just waiting for someone with “the bug” to walk by and breathe on him.
The light is fading.
It splashes across the sky
Beautiful dying.
Talk about going out in a blaze of glory! Spectacular.
And that seems to be the way of it these days.
I like to think of it as going into a blaze of glory.
Yes indeed. 😀
Nice to see a Haibun. 🙂 They don’t get the love they should, but would be great outlets for people
Thanks. I played with it a bit and originally it started out as just the Haiku, but it did not “speak the words”. So I tried a Haiku chain but that didn’t seem to fit either….I have always liked the Haibun form.

Thank you. It is meant to be a heart wrenching image.
