I was looking through music for Sacred Sundays and this song by Fernando Ortega just wouldn’t let me go. I had to listen to it several times just to get it deep in my soul. Worship it with me and then add your own song of praise to Jesus in the comments section.
Fernando Ortega is a modern hymn master and his website can be found HERE
Sacred Sundays is a fresh visit to some old hymns. Here is a a version of Come Ye Sinners originally written in 1844 and redone by Fernando Ortega and Amy Grant.
Add your own modern/ancient praise in the comments section below and let’s build a culture of worship together.
Words taken from cyber hymnal
Come, ye sinners, poor and needy,
Weak and wounded, sick and sore;
Jesus ready stands to save you,
Full of pity, love and power.
Refrain
I will arise and go to Jesus,
He will embrace me in His arms;
In the arms of my dear Savior,
O there are ten thousand charms.
Come, ye thirsty, come, and welcome,
God’s free bounty glorify;
True belief and true repentance,
Every grace that brings you nigh.
Refrain
Come, ye weary, heavy laden,
Lost and ruined by the fall;
If you tarry till you’re better,
You will never come at all.
Refrain
View Him prostrate in the garden;
On the ground your Maker lies.
On the bloody tree behold Him;
Sinner, will this not suffice?
Refrain
Lo! th’incarnate God ascended,
Pleads the merit of His blood:
Venture on Him, venture wholly,
Let no other trust intrude.
Refrain
Let not conscience make you linger,
Not of fitness fondly dream;
All the fitness He requireth
Is to feel your need of Him.
Refrain

Faithful Fridays here at Lillie-Put is a post dedicated to building a culture of worship by focusing on God’s faithfulness. Here is a powerful testimony of God’s grace and healing.
Now add your own testimony or song of God’s faithfullness.
One of my goals with Lillie-Put is to facilitate a culture of worship. I do that with seven weekly posts: Magnification Mondays, Tehillah Tuesdays, Worship Wednesdays, Thankful Thursdays, Faithful Fridays, Shoutin’ Saturdays and Sacred Sundays. The idea was born in reading my friend, BEN NELSON’S BLOG ANOTHER RED LETTER DAY, specifically his Worship Wednesday posts.
Everyday I am determined to start with a praise to the God who saved me. Join me in Thanking Him today by adding your own thanks in the comments section.
Info on the group Unspoken can be found HERE.
It is time to usher in a new day and to worship God as we do that. Join us in worshipping by adding your worship in the comments section below.
Rich Mullins has always been one of my favorite artists in worship. He has gone on to be with the Lord but his music still makes an impact beyond his passing.
A Tehillah is a song of praise. Tuesdays begins here at Lillie-Put by releasing a praise to our God. Join me in creating a culture of praise here by adding your own Tehillah in the comments section.

Well I am just finishing up my Sabbath and getting ready to launch into another week of productivity. I can think of no better way to begin than to worship the Lord from the get-go.
Magnification Mondays is one of seven ways Lillie-Put blog is involved in directly creating a culture of worship on the blogosphere. Join us here by adding your own song of praise to the comments section.

I am dedicating space everyday here at Lillie-Put to create a culture of worship. Sacred Sundays is that time in the week when we move deep into the hymnology of the faith. Please share your own favorite hymn in the comments section below.
Here is one we sang when I was a kid.
It brings me back and to tears at the heritage that holds me.
