The Daily Post has asked us to get a little CHEEKY with our photos today. My sister sometimes calls me a cheeky monkey…but I don’t know I think she’s a little cheekier than me.
What do you think?

This week the Daily Post has challenged its photographers to depict SERENITY.
Here is my first choice:
Boredom is the feeling that everything is a waste of time; serenity, that nothing is. Thomas Szasz
And because the world needs all the serenity it can get here are some other sources of serenity.
This week the Daily Post has asked us to depict the theme TEMPORARY.
I feel like I could post just about any picture in my archive and say, “This is temporary.” We live in a temporary world. Even the oldest things among us: the trees, the rivers, the mountains are only temporary things. They all have their day and then are gone.
All things are bound by time in this world. Isaiah said it this way,
“All people are like grass,
and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.
but the word of our God endures forever.” Isaiah 40:6-8
Everything in this world is temporary…but there is a place that is forever. That is what I am shooting for. In doing so I am obeying the command of Jesus.
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal.20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. Matthew 6:19-21
Here are some more thoughts on the temporary nature of our world.
This week the Daily post has asked us to display our photos in such a way as to give you a peek but not the whole story. JUST ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU WONDER.
