My State of Mind In Pictures

This post is in response to THE DAILY POST’S WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: STATE OF MIND.

I wish I could do this in one picture, but honestly my state of mind has been shifting like the Cape Cod Coast line in a hurricane. If I was living according to my state of mind rather than by Christ’s state of grace I would probably be half-crazed by now!

Here are the many faces of Lillie-Put this week.

Believe it or not this is not “angry Lillie” I guess I’ll call this one “Passionate Preacher”. (Thanks Zach Lemieux for that capture)

The Seasons Change

Life is always changing:

We grow.

Some of it we walk alone.

But one thing we can surely know is that life like the seasons is all about change.

This is my daughter Melanie imitating El Greco’s, The Repentant Magdalen.

This is me imitating Rocky’s run up the steps of the Philadelphia art museum. To be fair my imitation was harder to pull off.

I did better at imitating him before the run up the stairs.

Dance troupe

It is a season of highs and lows. Christmas pagents. Christmas banquets. Christmas sermons. Christmas prayer circles. Tonight I have a Christmas funeral and then tomorrow I will preach Christmas Eve.
