This week’s Fun Foto Challenge is all about: BARNS OR ABANDONED BUILDINGS
To see how others interpreted the theme go to:
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Abandoned Buildings or Barns
Here is my take on the subject:
This week’s Sunday Still Challenge is all about the circuitous paths we take. Find out how other photographers have interpreted the theme of THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD at
Here are my interpretations:

The road into Torc Falls is a long and windy way.
But I do not have to travel to Ireland to find a long winding road. I can travel plenty in my native New England.
Ailsa has challenged us to take the high road and get above our subjects this week.
To see how other bloggers rose to the occasion got to

Here are my thoughts on the subject
This is a view of the grounds of Blarney Castle from the top of its parapet.
The city of Amsterdam plays out beneath me as I stand on the balcony of
The Vrie Universitie.
Delft From the top of the Nieuwe Kerk.
This week the Daily Post’s photo challenge is the word :CONVERGE
Go to
http://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_photo_challenge/converge/
to see how an absolutely phenomenal convergence of bloggers takes on the subject.
Here are my thoughts on the matter…
Here I am in New England the place where seasons meet and play together for days at a time.
Killarney, where the lakes meet the mountains and the mountains introduce the skies and the waters run off with them both in a divine romance.
The convergence of souls.
Which way will you go this week?
Tell us all about it in Cee’s Which Way Challenge at
http://ceenphotography.com/2014/11/26/cees-which-way-photo-challenge-2014-22/

Here is the way I recently walked upon.
These photos were taken in the forest belonging to the Blarney Witch.
This being Thanksgiving, Cee has given us a couple of choices for this challenge. I have chosen to loosely interpret both!
In the snow the tree branches in my back yard remind me of arthritic joints. Because it is the first snow and only because it is the first snow I am kind of enjoying it.
Now take a jaunt over to Cee’s joint and see how others are enjoying the holiday.

This week Cee has challenged us to bring black and white to the translucent. What an interesting challenge! To see how others have seen there way through this subject go to:

Here are my attempts at the topic
This second picture is shopped through a new B&W filter I have called “comic book”. Don’t know if I like it or not.
I am with Ailsa! As the days grow shorter and colder a good shock of color helps bring back the cheer that can be so easily sapped away by the cold and dark!
One of the things I loved about the city of Cork was the bright colours of the homes and shops.
The juxtaposition of these lilies and the green of the falls in Blarney’s rock close made for an incredible splash of color!
But then perhaps the brightest of colours are to be found in the hearts of people. Colorful people can’t be hidden by the dark or the cold of winter. Their hearts bring warmth wherever they go. These folks are from one of the Bible study classes I taught last year. I am so thankful for their colourful personalities and for the bright faith they pour into the world around them.
The Daily post has challenged us with a new :ANGLE this week.

Here are some of my angles revealed.
